Has anyone installed a parent message board? (without LMS)

New to Blackbaud. Our beautiful site launched a couple of weeks ago.

We need a message board for our Parents Association but we don't have the LMS module. Has anyone ever embedded a third-party message board on their BB website? Does anyone know a good alternative method for our parents to communicate like a forum? We really want to avoid having them start a Facebook group.
