Is there a way to globally change constituents from inactive to active

I am fairly new to RE-NXT.  Once our data was imported and live, I noticed that a lot of our constituents came over as inactive - more than I really want to individually change if I don't have to.  Is there a way to globally query those that are inactive and change to active?

  • You will still have access to database view, the original raisers edge.

So if you create a query with the constituents that are inactive that you wish to change, then save it, Go to Admin and create a Constituent Global Change, select your query, then select from the biographical fields - Constituent is inactive, then replace checked with unchecked and Run now, they should all be active now.

Maybe try one or two first to make sure.

I have attached a screenshot of the Global Change screen.
  • Is there a way to hide all inactive constituents so they don't come up when you search, without permanently deleting them?

I'm not aware of anyway to have them hidden.

In a way it would defeat the purpose of having them in database and searching. Would you un-hide them every time a search came up with no results and search again to see if they have an inactive record?

  • In terms of the global change question: we have a tool that will do this for nxt and a load of other such changes as long as you have the list of IDs /lookup IDs of the records. Let us know if you are interested via messaging me or email support at SmartTHINg.org.

It is a very cheap tool and can do a lot!
  • Hey there. Does this tool globally change/consent data?

  • Hi, Yes it should be able to do that…
