Odata is down?

FYI: odata is down, any odata dependent services will fail. Not sure if we're getting throttled or blacklisted.  We run odata via scripts for integrations. I can run the odata query from a different IP address, so it looks like we're getting firewalled.

Comments

  • We're unable to connect as well.
  • It is impacting
    • Cuseum (digital membership cards)
    • Social Good Software (ticketing calendars)
    • Our scripts that use curl to pull data down to disk on schedule.
    No bueno. ?

  • We've had a couple of brief interruptions this afternoon as well. When it's down, we're seeing HTTP code 401 Unauthorized.
  • Same: HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized
  • I isolated it to the user account that was running the odata connections. I had this happen about a year ago.. the Altru account got deactivated because it hadn't logged in through the Altru interface in over 180 days. So I marked my calendar to do this every few months. Even though the account was not deactivated this time, and logged in through Altru about a month ago, it was still not able to connect via odata, even though I could still go through Altru and run the query successfully. My fix was five password changes (you can't change to any of your last four passwords) to restore the account password to what it was.
  • Joe,

I wish that worked for us. I even created a new Blackbaud ID, assigned rights in Altru, and logged into the web interface to confirm it was working. Confirmed I could access the queries in question. And when I ran the request via cURL, it fails with an unauthorized message.  This was attempted with 5 known working Blackbaud IDs. I heard there was a code change shipped yesterday and they are still troubleshooting the issue.
  • UPDATE - 12-08-2020

Blackbaud Support reached out and shared that the issue is resolved. I confirmed it via cURL, Social Good, Excel, and Cuseum. Huzzah!
