Actions require Fundraiser

We are trying to show fewer Fundraisers' names in the Work Center.  I know this is controlled by the Is a Solicitor checkbox on Bio1 in database view.

Preferably we would only show the major gifts team.

I'm seeing that web view Actions require a Fundraiser name to be entered.  From testing, I'm seeing that users who aren't checked as Solicitors cannot enter Actions.  Is there a way to not require entry of an Action Fundraiser?

Are there other implications as well (Gifts, etc.) where the Fundraiser is required within web view?

Thanks.

Chris Zello‍, answering in reverse order. You can make make a Fundraiser required or optional for Actions under Control Panel > Fields and Tables in NXT. Actions are the only area where a Fundraiser can be made required at this point.

In terms of showing fewer Fundraisers' names in the Work Center, that area is actually controlled by linking a constituent record to a user account in database view. If you unlink the RE record and user account (delete the name that I highlighted in the screenshot) they will not show up in the Work Center.

  • This was very helpful.

Have you noticed any other affect on the system if you don't have the Constituent Name in that field?

I have not noticed anything else impacted with our processes.
