Unless I am missing something there is no delivered batch that allows me to end-date relationships, correct

While we've been live on BBCRM for over 10 years I've never had the need to mass end-date relationships. While I know I can create them in mass using Constituent Update Batch I don't see a batch that has the end-date field available.


I swear, Constituent Update Batch can be great, but it clearly was not vetted or reviewed for quality assurance as it's missing so many KEY fields that are critical for Development.


Anyway, I digress... anyone know of a delivered tool for end-dating relationships?

Hi Diane,


That's correct...although you could use Constituent Update Batch / Import to change the "Relationship Type" and "Reciprocal Relationship Type" on existing relationships (say to "Former Spouse", "Former Employer", etc), that is about as far as you could take it with out of the box functionality. You can't actually end date relationships, or dissolve households via the standard batch. What you're describing sounds like it would need to be a custom global change or script that would consider selection of constituents, relationship type, and end date as parameters.
