Address Accelerator Oct_Nov Update Returns Error

Apparently a new configuration to update package.  The downloaded exe contains only two files (DPV.cas and setup.exe, which is large).  After running setup AND update.exe in postal tools directory and reboot, the old "the serial number for your postalsaver is either out of date or corrupt" error.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling!  Still doesn't work!  Any updates as to how to fix this????

  • I've run into the same issue. I did a chat with support yesterday, and they didn't seem to think anything was amiss on their end. They're doing more research and are supposed to get back to me today. I'll let you know when I hear back.
  • Hi Robert,

In case you still haven't resolved this issue, Blackbaud Support was able to get me a solution, as follows. I don't know why, but uninstalling AddressAccelerator and deleting the Postal Tools folder were the keys - the normal monthly update process did not work for us.

    1. Download "AAUSOCTNOV20.exe" from BB.com

    2. Immediately after downloading, from the Downloads folder, right click the AAUSOCTNOV20 file, select properties, and unblock the file. (*note* not all client's will have this option which is dependent upon their Operating System version)

    3. Go to ...\\Program Files (x86)\\Blackbaud\\Postal Tools. If this folder does not exist create it and copy/paste or move the AAUSOCTNOV20.exe file to this Postal Saver folder

    4. Right click the "AAUSOCTNOV20.exe" file and select to Run as Administrator (make sure the file save location is set to the Postal Tools folder)

    5. Right click the "setup.exe" file and select to Run as Administrator which will install the files to the Postal Tools folder (check file path again)

    6. Right click the "Update.exe" file and select to Run as Administrator (This file path should default to Satori Architect which is correct)

    7. Test Address Accelerator functionality
