Restoring RE NXT Backups in SQL Server When Hosted By Blackbaud (Azure)

Hello,

I've just gone through the process of restoring a backup copy of the database that Blackbaud provides for RE NXT clients to a standalone SQL Server intance. The reasoning behind this, was due to some of the inability of creating custom SQL code to pull complex reports, and the need to see data in a specific format to properly validate and cleanup the database (i.e. using Dynamic Pivoting on Const Attributes, Gift Attributes, etc.). With that being said, I wanted to find out if anyone else has gone through this process? If you have, I would like to connect with you concerning standard processes/practices that you may be utilizing when it comes to how often you are updating your backup to the standalone SQL instance, as well as how you're updating it. If you don't currently have any processes/practices, I would still like to potentially collaborate with you to brainstorm what it may/should look like, so that others in the community may also benefit from it. In the event you have any questions for me, please feel free to ask.

Thank You,

RJ
