Integration with Microsoft 365 Calendar

Good morning,

Has anyone found a way to integrate actions in Raisers Edge NXT with Microsoft 365 calendars? I know that there is integration available for a locally installed exchange server, but as my organization operates off of Microsoft 365, we need a way to sync fundraisers' actions with their outlook calendar. Does anyone have a solution for this?

Thank you!

  • I am pretty sure that "Blackbaud for Outlook" will do this.  You can find it in the Marketplace (in NXT, click on the menu in the upper left, and go to Marketplace).

In the marketplace, just search for Outlook and it should be one of the two options.

I did it awhile ago as a test.  There was a little bit of digging that I had to do, because I don't recall much documentation, but it did work without an enormous investment of time.  But that was over a year ago and I'm not sure what might have changed.  At least this points you in a direction!

  • We integrate between Microsoft 365 Outlook (calendars and email) and RENXT.  It is one of our staff's favorite functions of NXT!  You do need the free plug-in from the Microsoft store (search "Blackbaud").  An NXT admin needs to authorize the plug-in and then users install and enable the plug-in from Outlook.  Once everything is connected, actions can be saved to the calendar from NXT and emails can be saved as actions from Outlook.  Our gift officers LOVE the email feature as it takes two seconds to save an email as an action without having to copy/paste.  Our grants manager is loving the actions saved to her Outlook calendar to manage grant deliverables and deadlines.
