Query of Never Donors that excludes Pledges

Hi


New to RE NXT-(Implementation Phase).  Was trying to run a query of Alumni that have No Lifetime giving.  It seems as though I can't do because the summary fields include pledges as part of giving, even if unpaid.  I currently need to generate many reports where a dollar amount criteria is used and these criteria can't include pledges.  Pledge Payment inclusion is fine.

Bryan Horz‍  Use the filter tab on the Edit Criteria window (should pop up when choose summary giving > total amount of gifts) to choose the gift type you wish to be counted.

Ditto Larry Wheeler‍ has the solution.


Just to note as you said you're new to RE NXT, many of the queries/reports have default settings on what gift types are included however you can change those settings by going to the filters.

Thank you Larry.  When I initially used the filter I must have accidentally moved the Pledge Gift type over.  Its working now

Thank you so much for the tip.  There are so many places in RE queries and exports that you have to set various filters settings etc.  I.m sure after some time I will get used to it

Good news, Bryan Horz‍ .  As JoAnn Strommen‍ posted and others in the export thread, you will quickly get the way blackbaud queries/exports/reports work and then it is smooth (sort of) sailing. ?


The people on these forums are a great resource.  Their knowledge helped me, and continues to help me, get work done.  I came from Banner, where I had backend access and wrote sql to pull data.  It was frustrating to deal with a drag and drop setup and no backend access, but I have gotten used to it.
