in-system assignment

For some reason, the last few times I created an assignment, I was unable to select the "in-system submission" button. I get a dark window that pops up and won't go away. Any ideas?

  • Deborah Netanel‍ I reported that issue this morning. I was trying to test a different issue (students submitting work through this type of assignment and it not saving) and couldn't even create the assignment. Have you had any reports of student issues?
  • Previously this worked fine. If I checked 'in
    system submission' they were able to submit. But the problem of my
    not being able to select that option started last Wed night. Also
    my "help" button returns a frowning face

  • It worked for me as well last week when I first had the report that some student submissions weren't saving. I created an assignment using the in-system submission and it worked fine. I thought of something else to test this morning and needed to make another assignment when it went haywire and gave me the grey screen. I haven't heard back from support yet. Sorry you're also having the issue but glad to know it isn't just us!
  • A pretty bizarre work around ... try zooming OUT your browser window 2-3 times and try again. The dark window is attached below the rest of the form which appears along with the scroll bar which at normal zoom is hidden and unaccessible above. The dark window can be closed with an ESCAPE - but there goes your assignment too. Also, seemed limited to Chrome and not Safari.

  • We are having the same issue. Like mentioned above, it is not effecting Safari.


    We have tried clearing cache in chrome and an incognito browser and that is not working.
  • Has anyone gotten any feedback from BB on this?


    I ran into it a couple times last week and was thankfully able to punt in different ways with the different users. [different computer; sometimes even on either Chrome *or* Safari].


    Would be nice to know it's being addressed.


     
  • I had a case open with support and was notified 11/25 that is was resolved.
