Donor information missing from NXT notification emails

Yesterday on 12/1 we received a number of gifts for Giving Tuesday using our NXT Donation form. The notification emails sent to me/ my staff included gift information but NOT donor information. However, donor information was included on previous notification emails (including on Monday 11/30). 


Did this happen to anyone else? 


There doesn't seem to be a way to edit notification emails either.

BB decided they'd no longer include that information in notification emails per Knowledgebase article 194181:

Recently, we updated the information contained in the donor notification emails your organization receives. Moving forward, a donor’s name, address, email address, and last four digits of their credit card will no longer be included in that notification. This change was made to protect your donors’ personal information. You can still find donors’ information through your organization’s normal reporting processes.

I'm sorry but this was a terrible mistake and they rolled it out on Giving Tuesday!


It ruined our workflow. Our executive director likes to call new donors on the same day the gift is received. I'm thinking about setting up dashboards that get sent to me twice a day so I can forward them on to my ED, but it is so much more work now.


And the same thing has happened with events! I just convinced a part of our organization to switch to events, partially based on the ability to get instant emails with registrant's names.  Now they won't. Pretty upsetting for them.


Unfortunately, there is no event dashboard, or I would just have that sent regularly, but that won't work! And the "suggestion" board wasn't working yesterday, so I couldn't suggest it. Very frustrating.

We still get name, email, date, amount, card type, and last four in our Online Express notification emails; along with a copy of the email sent to the donor as confirmation..

Thank you for the post. As mentioned in a previous reply, to help protect donor information, notification emails no longer include personally identifiable information. Instead, now to find the donor information from the notification email select the donation form of recent donations list link. Then under Recent donations list, the donor’s name, email, and gift amount display. You can also get complete gift and donor information from this list once the gift has been approved in batch.  When you select a gift, its record displays with a link to the donor’s constituent record.

I have to back the idea of not containing personal info in emails but for those who need this for some reason you may be able to do something with the Microsoft Power Automate functionality based on new gifts or our own SmartSYNC platform can definitely do email notifications with merge fields from ALL gift/constituent fields.

I just found out about this as we are trying to switch over to NXT forms. This is such a huge disappointment. Our gift entry process currently requires a paper copy of each donation with the donor's full information, which we used to get easily as an email. How is everyone getting around this restriction? You can't even see the address information until the gift has been approved in batch.
