Can you make the comment field a required to be filled out to make a donation.  I see some donors don't use the drop down to choose which account they want their donation to go towards.  Having them fill out the comment field would help us know if they did not use the drop down.

I'm not sure I would want to make the comment field required, since it would force every donor to add something to it in order to finalize the gift.  I can see that being frustrating for a lot of people.


Do you have multiple Funds set up for the donation form and people are just not using the drop down?  I don't think you can do much but process the gift using the default Fund.


If I'm missing something, please let me know!

Yes the donors are not using the drop down box to choose the designation of their donation. I can tell this when they put their comments in. I figured if every donor added a comment it would help me to know if they used the dropdown correctly. I'm seeing this more and more due to the COVID has driven a lot of online donations.

Is rephrasing the heading for that section or the text next to the drop down an option? Like the heading on that part of the form could be "What would you like your donation to support?" and then the text next to the drop down could be "Please choose:"


We're currently trying to see what we can do to make our main donation form clearer - which is tricky when it also has to be able to serve a variety of purposes!
