Enrollment contracts

We are receiving enrollment contracts for the 2021-22 academic year. Can we enroll those students that are new now or should we wait until we do the end-of-year roll. If we did it now would that mess up the end-od-year roll? Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Deborah, I'm assuming that you're speaking about enrolling candidates, if you do, they will be enrolled into the incoming student and incoming parent role, so you'll still be able to find them. I'll let other's speak to their process, but this shouldn't cause any issues for you. You'll need to go into core and re-classify them as students and parents when you get closer to the start of your academic year.

    thank you,

  • We enroll once we have their contract with deposit. They stay as incoming until our Registrar rolls over the year. This way our Registrar can start looking at their files for class sizes, etc. as we get the contracts he can as opposed to getting a huge number of incoming students to look at later.
  • In the past, I have enrolled once I have activated the new school year as the current year.

I am wondering what access a Parent of an Incoming Student would have. Would the Parents of an Incoming Student be able to access Magnus Health? I hope someone has experience and advice.

    Thanks,

    Suzanne
  • I enroll the new students after we do the graduations and promotions of current students. Makes managing the lists and distribution groups smoother to batch them in this way. Come to think of it, I may have set them to "enroll" on 7/15.
