Does anyone use Raiser's Edge NXT for emails instead of Core pushpages?

We have used the pushpage product in the K-12 modules (Core) for over a decade. Because there is very little styling available, we are looking at other alternatives. Does anyone use the email function in Raiser Edge NXT as an alternative for the Blackbaud K-12 pushpage product? If so, what are the pros, cons, differences?

I don't know when or how updated emails might appear in Education management, but if you want to see the basics of how it currently looks in one of Blackbaud's non-education products see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzYAIjQjrTw on the Blackbaud Support YouTube channel. Be aware, however, that the details and exact functions may change from what's in that video. So don't take the video as a "what you see is what you'll get" promise for K-12 please.

In Raiser's Edge NXT, email currently works like this: https://www.blackbaud.com/files/support/helpfiles/rex/content/email.html (this is how-to, help documentation sort of page specific to RE NXT; things may be subject to change and exact steps/button names/function from this help might be different from how it might work for Education)

Thank you, Bryna, I appreciate the response. I looked through several of the videos on YouTube last night to get an overall idea of how the email product works in Raiser's Edge. We are currently using K-12's pushpage product, but it is almost a decade old and has limited styling available.


Question: when you send out an email via Raiser's Edge, is there a URL or way to view it after it is sent? I keep an archive of our newsletters available for our parents and don't want to lose that function.

I know RE NXT has a history log and performance analytics for sent emails. I'm not sure about the URL link to view it in full, but I'll ask around since it's not my area of expertise.

We use Education Management and would love to have the email functions of Workflow Designer and Raiser's Edge NXT to use for communications flows. From everything I've read and research, Education Management doesn't have these features (yet).

Hi Sondra - Bryna reached out to me about your questions since I work on the docs for Email in Raiser's Edge NXT. In regards to viewing an email after it's sent, you can copy a message to see the previous content. You can also include yourself as a recipient and save the message locally.


Also, as you may have noticed in the Youtube videos you watched, Email in RENXT includes a drag and drop designer and built in templates to help you easily create high quality content.
