One Opportunity for a Group of Constituents

I have a fundraiser that would like to use the work center in NXT to track a group of constituents under one opportunity. Any ideas on how I can make this possible for them?

The only way I've been able to do it is to have the name be the same for all of them and then I pull a query or list for opportunities named ...


This is my work around as I haven't seen a way (even in database view) to create one overall and put it onto multiple constituents.

We've had the same issue come up, and our workaround for this is to create an organisational record for the group, assign the opportunity to this record, and have all the group linked as contacts to the group record.


That way, you can still mark actions to the group, and maintain a connection in the action record to the person (contact) that it was directed to. If you need to also do this for gifts, potentially could look at soft credits as a mechanism for it.
