Constituent ID available in Bio 1 tab

We would love to have the Constituent ID show up on the Bio 1 tab but to "unhide" it enables anyone with access to go in a change it. Is there a way that we can have it show but not allow any changes except for administrators?

Yes. You must do this from Security. Go into the user's security group and into Records, Options. Uncheck the field below. For all such users, the Constituent ID will be visible, but not editable.
