Unique Student Identifier in Insight's Designer

We are experimenting with dashboards for grades, but are finding the lack of a unique identifier for the students to be a real issues. Is there a way to pull in the Student ID? I'd even settle for UserID if that was the only option, but we have students with the same name in the same grade.

I hade a similar problem with two student who had the same name in the same class and our work around was to put their middle name in with their first name and remove it from the middle name field. This worked for us because we also print middle name on the transcript and report card. It allowed us to distinguish the two students in the grades area as well as student enrollment. Hope this helps in your situation.
