Hard and Soft Bounces

How can you identify hard and soft bounces emails in Raiser's Edge NXT? Our university would like to know how to determine the difference between the bounces. This way we can remove the hard bounce emails in the database view by marking the email bad. I'm just wondering how does other NXT users determine what's a hard bounce and soft bounce email.

AGREED! I just posted a response to a similar email. The only way I see is to go by the emails sent, look at the email detail in each constituent record to see if the bounce is hard or soft and what the reason is. I don't see any way to export or query on this information.


We also used to be able to export this information from our old system.

I was recently told that a filter on email response is coming to Constituent Lists, but no timeline on when that is happening. Until then, as Caroline Martien‍ has said, you will have to look at the email detail on the constituent level to see hard vs soft bounce information.
