Text box page elements in Report Builder

Hi,

I'm working with a client who upgraded to webview in the spring. Their usage of RE has been very basic, including reporting, so I think they are good candidates for some Report Builder dashboards.

I'm trying to set one up that actually looks nice, and am struggling with the Text box page elements. Has anyone used them and had them look nice? The issue is that the height of the box does not seem to be able to change. I only have one line of text to explain each section, and it looks comical and unprofessional to have a header and then an inch of space between sections. I would happily put everything into one text box element, but there is no formatting or hard returns available.

This is what it looks like so far. Fiscal Year Overview is one text element. “Please pay close attention” is a second element, and “Received Revenue gift types” is a third:

It's silly looking. I would happily put everything into one text element if I had some formatting control, but I haven't found a trick. If anyone has done additional formatting on Report Builder dashboards and has some tips, I would love to know!

Karen

Hi Karen - I have not experienced the same issues you are having with text boxes. You should be able to change the size of the box by ‘grabbing’ the bottom right corner to change the size of the box. You could also try to change the font style (under Edit Properties for the element).

Thanks Austen. I did try that, because all other page elements can generally be resized appropriately, but these would not cooperate. I'll check again - maybe it was just a glitchy day!
