Raisely and RE7 integration

We have chosen to use Raisely for a Peer to Peer fundraising campaign. In the past we have used Everydayhero. Has anyone else used Raisely and managed to import donor, gift and participant data into Raiser's Edge 7?

I'm not familiar with Raisely, but I peeked at the website. It doesn't appear to have a native integration with RE, which is not surprising.

As long as you can export data from Raisely, you should be able to import to RE. But it can be A LOT of work. Many of the fields in RE have IDs attached to them. Constituent records have an RE ID (and an RE Import ID which is better to have) which works for the record as a whole, but also has a specific ID for each address, each phone number, each constituent code, each attribute, etc. You would need those RE IDs in order to update things like an email address or a specific phone number. You could potentially add all donors as completely new records and then de-dupe, but that sounds like a nightmare. There is a lot more to consider - that is only the tip of the iceberg.

My advice, if there is any way to swing it, is to investigate something like Importomatic or Importacular. They are great for recurring imports because you set up a profile that can transform data and add data based on conditions in the file. Money may end up being an issue but I'd suggest that the time you will need to spend doing everything manually would be offset by one of those products.

  • I am also not family with Raisely.

I looked at a couple of options earlier this year (that, unfortunately, have not yet progressed). I am not sure where you are located (so it may not be available) but JustGiving is available in Australia ( previously Everyday Hero) does have an integration option for RENXT. I didn't look into export options as that was not needed for us - but as it is the replacement for us of EDH I would like to assume there is something you would be able to use?

Karen is right regarding ImportOmatic - we use ImportOmatic for importing into RE7 and if you have enough identifying points you could use that to import the Raisely Data (and some cleaning) into the database view. If you are able to extract the information from Raisely I would expect that would be significantly faster than multiple passes using RE7 import. Importomatic may take a little time to set up and map but once done it can be used over and over if your exports don't change.

Hi Nadine! I realise your post was a long time ago, but (if you are still at the same org) I wondered if you went ahead with Raisely, and how you found it in terms of getting data into RE? There is now an RE connector with Raisely Pro I believe, I was wondering if you used this and how you found it? Thank you!

  • @Suzie Capps Hi! We did move to Raisely and are still using it. We have not tried to integrate it with RE7 (we are still using RE7!), so I didn't realise that Raisely Pro may integrate. We don't get that many donation through Raisely, so we have just been manually inputting into RE. Sorry, I can't be of much help ?
