Visibility to teacher of "in progress" work

I am working with faculty to ease transition from Google Classroom to Blackbaud LMS… one feature they appreciate about GC is the ability to see assignments in progress (especially if the work is in the form of a Google doc or similar). Is there any way to do this in the Blackbaud classroom?

    I don't know if there is a similar feature to see student work in “real time” like you could with a Google Doc. I know that the assignment annotations can be shared without committing a grade for an assignment, so you would be able to go back and forth with drafts of a paper, for example. I know for assessments you should be able to allow students to save and complete the assessment later, but I'm not sure what becomes visible to teachers at that point.
