So I'm interested in this thread because I personally hate storing all of our document attachments in the Blackbaud CRM database. Our DB is big enough as it is and we've got a couple hundred gig of file attachments.

At Syracuse we're currently integrating our existing OnBase with BBCRM.

We don't have a fancy document management system, but we do have a custom business process that takes our new document attachments out of the db each night and stores them on an AWS S3 bucket. A custom action then allows users to open the attachments from the application just like they were stored in the db. Ping me if you want more info.

Hi Jennifer, I am interested in learning about the custom business process you have that extracts the document attachments from the database. We are in the process of acquiring a document system and would like to extract current documents for integration to the new system. Thanks!
