Running Practice Credit Card Transaction

Hi, I'm setting up a new system to streamline the donation process for our donors. I'm needing to run a ‘fake’ credit card transaction so I can go through the entire donation process to ensure it's running properly. Does anyone know where I can find info on this ‘fake credit card’? I already looked in Knowledgebase and couldn't find anything.

In instances like this, I usually use my personal credit card to test forms/processes and give a small donation to my organization.

Just a head's up that we recently tested out our RE NXT online - event registration form using Blackbaud's “fake” credit card numbers. I used the dummy credit card numbers, on my event registration form (in test mode) and ended up with transactions put into a gift batch. I'm still waiting on a response from Blackbaud IT support to get rid of my dummy transactions. I don't have the option to delete the transaction or the batch at this point.

Also of note, if you process real gifts through an RE NXT Online batch, you cannot delete the transaction or the batch. The only way to get rid of them is to adjust the gifts down to $0. Learned this the hard way when I was doing a test gift batch. Best of luck!!

Emily Savino‍ Just wondering, is inability to delete possible a user rights issue? Or is it documented that NetC can't be deleted? I know I've deleted NetC test pledges.

@JoAnn Strommen We use RE NXT Online batch via webview, not net community. Based on this KB article - 193239 - I can confirm that gifts entered via Webview cannot be deleted. Kind of a bummer

@Emily Savino I learned this the hard way as well. I ended up committing the ‘test batch’ in RE NXT Gifts Management. I was not able to delete the gift entries, so I adjusted the gift to $0. Testing was troublesome.

** Part of the test was to view the email autoresponder. It would be ideal to be have the ability to send ‘test emails’. Just in case, I posted this as an idea.
