Hello,I am attempting to build a case to purchase the OMATIC plug in to help us manage our
Grateful Patient program we just purchased from Blackbaud.
With this plug in, can we use workflows and automatic e-mails from NXT like we do with normal constituents? We do not have an “outside” e-mail platform. All of our e-mail goes through NXT.
Also, can you “query” inside of Raiser's Edge on these non-constituents just like your regular constituents?

Can you tell me now that you have been using OMATIC, what specifically it has done for your organization for the Grateful Patient management? Do you use workflows inside RE NXT with RE NXT e-mail? We recently started using Omatic to import lists as part of our grateful patient initiative. We are not using any workflows at this point, but we are creating lists for daily patient review. Also, importing to List Management has allowed us to add patient data to both full constituents and List Management records. Yes - you can query on List Management lists and export based on criteria you select. This is quite new to us, but Omatic is working as we had expected. Just be aware that the onboarding and set up for Omatic is complex and time consuming.0 -

We are using List Management through Omatic and the best way I can describe it is that it is a shadow database to RE. You have the ability to upgrade and downgrade records between List Management into RE and vice versa. We do not use NXT for email, we use OLX and are currently onboarding Luminate Online due to the limitations of NXT and OLX for email, one of those limitations being the donor/prospect has to be a constituent in RE to email them.
You can query on the records in Omatics List Management within List Management. You can sort and filter the lists as well.

@Potique Johnson We do not use workflows yet. We use Omatic to import patient data such as birth dates, emails, etc. These patient records stay in list management until there is a trigger to promote them to full Raiser's Edge constituent - either a contact or wealth screening, something like that. You can query on the records in list management (including any constituent records that happen to also be in a list), but you can't query on list management records directly from RE. One of the main things we do with the patient lists is run them through wealth screening. We don't use Blackbaud's grateful patient program - that wasn't a good fit for us.
