Online Express - Organization Event Registrations & Capacity Updating

Has anyone had experience or a work-around with creating an online registration page with capacity limits where individuals are allowed to register on behalf of companies BUT the individuals registering are NOT actual RE constituents when it's time to process the OE registration in to the actual OE Event record so that the online capacity features works?

Online Express (OLX) thinks everyone is an individual type record. In order to trick it, you bring through the record as an individual type, then change it to be an organization type later on in the process. Once the gift is sitting in the batch, that can happen at any time - with the caveat that if you change it prior to committing the batch, you go and “update” the gift to sit on the “new” record, which is done by clicking the search binoculars and finding the constituent again and selecting it. And you change it to be the Org name on the main record, and then can add the person as a relationship contact.
