If there is a way to do a test before sending the email.

Hey Brenda,

There is not yet a way to send a “test email” for a Gift receipt or Giving statement.

One workaround for that would be to temporarily update the primary email address of one of your donors to your email address and send a receipt without marking the “Mark as receipted” option.

That will deliver you an email that mirrors what that particular donor would see (with the exception of not generating a receipt number).

Or… since I give to my organization I just had an e-Receipt sent to me for my gift! ?

If you are hesitant to use an actual donor record, create a test record (we have a constituent code for those), add a gift. And use your email with that….just I never keep gifts on test records so afterwards I would delete the gift on the test record, along with your email.
