Can we suppress Google file sharing emails?

When a student uploads a file for an assignment submission from Google Drive, the LMS changes sharing permissions so that the teacher can read to shared file. However, this generates an automated email from Google to the teacher that the file has been shared.

Teachers at my school are getting 40+ of these messages in their inbox. Is there a setting that allows us to suppress the notifications (at the teacher level or system level)?
