Missing Features in Gift-in-Kind Records

I was entering auction items post-event and was alarmed to find that the “sell gift-in-kind” functionality in the user guide just doesn't exist. I checked with support, and they confirmed that it's only in the user guide, not in the software, and that it's “probably an error in documentation”. Upon further research, NONE of the gift-in-kind functionality in the user guide is present in Altru.

Does anyone have a work-around for entering auction items or other gifts-in-kind? This is extremely bizarre and frustrating.

    It's not surprising since it's Altru. There are a lot of things that just don't work or exist in this database.

    We enter our in-kind gifts as donations and use the payment method as Gift-In-Kind. This will open up options to add a subtype, item name, number of units, and fair market value per unit. You will need to make sure your sub-type code table is filled out. You will also be able to add the amount and receipt amount.
