to find out how my online member sale discount went, i went to the sales tab and under reports i clicked on discount...hope this helps

Thank you, That does work to show the total sales , I am trying to find out who (which member) used the discount.

OOPS, sorry, just read this more accurately…yup, that report doesn't bust it out by name…I'd like that too! it is really trying to find it in a query…I have to ask for amount paid

Hi @sheila kalhorn! So I may have not great news for you. You can do parts of this, but I don't think you can see exactly what you're wanting to see.

What you cannot do is run a query to see which Promo Code was used with a particular Sales Order (which also means you can't see which constituent used a specific promo code). Blackbaud is aware of this issue and is encouraging people to vote on for a fix on the Ideas page. Personally, I find that aggravating that they acknowledge it's broken and then, instead of fixing it (which I know is easier said than done), they send us to an Idea from 2016. But that's my rant on that.

Here is what you can do:

• You can see what Discount was used on a Sales Order. So if you have only one Promo Code per Discount, then you're actually in good shape.

• You can go over to the Sales tab. There is a report called Discount. Change the Group By setting to Discount. This will show you how many times a Discount was used in a time period. And under each discount, it'll show how often the Promo Code was used. So you can measure a Promo Codes popularity. You just can't tie it specifically to a constituent.

thank you! i was mired in that rabbit hole of creating a sales query again b/c of this topic…hoping i can figure it out…and it helps the original poster…

@Regina Holten, yeah I hear you. So you can pull the Discount into the Sales Order query. And it'll show you how often that Discount was used. That works. But if you try to add Promo Code into those results, it'll display every Promo Code that COULD be used with that Discount. So, for us, just a long list of Promo Codes. ?

Whew, that 2nd item under your first bullet Here is what you can do WORKED!!!!!!! THANK YOU. I was worried b/c it said for front office (didn't work) and THEN gave instructions for back office which for whatever reason worked…it is an online promo code used to give customers 10% off…any level they choose…i can at least see a list of the members that used it…that is all right now and that is fine…for now. I did vote on a few IDEAS on this topic…thank you and I hope the original poster of this thread was able to get help, too…
