Attendance Note Field Activation for "Present" Students

Please considering tweaking the system on your end so that we can enter attendance notes at all times, even for “present” students.

Currently, the only way to add a note while taking attendance is to make a student absent, but there are times we need to enter notes when a student is not absent. For example, we use the LMS to take attendance during proctored study halls as well as regular classes; however, during most study halls a number of students check in with their proctors before going to other commitments, like a conference with a teacher, a student club, or private music lessons.

Ideally, we would like to mark the student “present” (because they checked in) and then enter a note about where they said they were going, so our Dean of Students can verify.

John - if you select tardy, enter a comment, and switch back to Attended Class, your comment should save with the Present attendance status.
