White Owl Accuracy

When we migrated from RE7 self-hosted to NXT this last spring, we learned of White Owl/Papersave. We thought it would be a wonderful way to automate gift entry and give us a path to scale check volume and grow our operation while keeping staffing levels even.

That has not been our experience. The accuracy with White Owl (why would a check be dated 2001??) and the number of steps still required to note if a gift is from a DAF or an IRA QCD or some nuance has made the product a huge disappointment. Our database manager did a side-by-side timed test of entering 25 checks manually in DB view and 25 checks using WhiteOwl. The WhiteOwl process was twice as long.

Does anyone have any tips? Any knowledge of updates to the product? Any competing product which may do the job we thought this would do? TIA!
