How to remove members/seeds from an activated email marketing effort

Let me start with I know how to remove members, effort has to be activated, etc. But we have some Seeds that we want to remove but since the effort is activated, I'm not able to remove/delete the Seeds.

  • Hi Cindy - If you are using the native seed functionality (Marketing and Communications > Seeds) unfortunately this is one of the areas that cannot be changed once an effort is activated. If you want to remove them from future mailings, you'd have to edit your seed list before the next mailing, or if you have the seeds automatically populated via a Communication Template, you may need to make an edit there.

    If by chance, you are using a seed segment in your mailing then you could remove someone from the segment after activation just like you would remove anyone from a marketing effort with the remove members process.
