Setup PayPal without Employee Social Security Number?

We are looking into setting up PayPal to use with Online Express but do not want to provide an employee's Social Security Number or other personal information. Is it possible to set up a business account another way?

    Hi @Mary Boechat - Unfortunately this is a limitation of PayPal. I do not know of any way to get around the requirement of a personal SSN.

    Hi Mary, although I have not tried this personally, the Paypal website says: “Enter your employer ID number or if you’re a sole proprietor, enter your social security number.” If this is correct, you should be able just to enter your nonprofit's EIN number, found on your IRS nonprofit verification letters or your nonprofit 990's.
