Geography-based Lead Generation.

Over the years, we have utilized several tools and methods to filter, segment and analyze our constituent population for event/prospect lead generation based on local geography or regions (beyond city/state/region address fields): We have tried to use the built-in Blackbaud CRM Bing Maps integration, which has a 250-record limitation when filtering by geographic radius; we have devised a manual solution using ad-hoc query selections based on zip ranges; we have exported to Microsoft MapPoint for external manual analysis. All of these solutions have proven tedious or incapable over the years.

Has any institution had success leveraging Google maps or some other CRM-integrated mapping technology to assist in their geography-based record functions? What is everyone out there currently doing?
