Waitlist Candidates

I am wondering how other schools handle waitlists? How do you keep track in EM? We currently have this as a Decision option. We don't publish Decision to the parents and we are looking to take Decision out of the checklist steps - it's an unecessary step for 97% of our candidates. Candidates go from Application - all recommendations & documents needed for enrollment to Contract if approved to attend. Then the Parents “decide” if they want to attend by signing the contract. We are looking for a different method to capturing the few waitlisted candidates when the grade is full.

Good morning @Kathy Hannon - we do publish our decisions online. For students who are waitlisted, we have an option to advise us if they want to be placed on the WL. We publish two candidate decision options for them to respond “Yes, place me on the waitlist” or “No, do not place me on the waitlist”.

I'll be interested to hear what other schools do if they don't publish decisions online.

Like @Bryan Lorenzo, we publish school decisions online and have a similar process. That said, over the last few years, we haven't had need to waitlist anyone, but that could be changing even though I still expect it to be relatively rare.
