Canada Only - Automatic Direct Debit via NXT Web - anyone successful with this?

Hey Canadians, I am having trouble with automated NXT direct debit monthly gifts and seem to be going in circles with Support. Monthly credit cards are fine. At this point I am looking for confirmation that the process is even possible. If you have any tricks or tips happy to get those, too. Thanks!

Pre-pandemic when I asked about this, I was told it was not possible. (Would love to hear better news on this!) My current org we aren't taking any direct debits, but at my old org, we used database view and just had a recurring batch which we confirmed manually with the monthly report from our bank.

Thanks Aldera. I am told it is possible but am also being encouraged to get donors to sign up thru OLX?!?!? I'll update you if I figure it out !

Very interesting! I can't wrap my head around how it would be possible - I don't know of any other Cdn orgs that are able to take Direct Debit on an online form, so it would be very cool if this has become possible. I wonder if the missing piece is having people sign up for a monthly gift using Paypal, with their Paypal connected to their account?

It's not possible yet for Canada (of course). I hope to hear more on it in the release info next month. I'd love to know if anyone in Canada has an alternative product they like for direct debits. I had one that looked good but lost my link/name of it. smh
