Board Members as Volunteers

Altru has both Board Member and Volunteer Constituencies. But (at least in our organization) Board Members are also Volunteers, and often do volunteer tasks related to their board membership. Does anyone have “best practices” for dealing with volunteer board members? If we wanted to log their volunteer board hours, is there a way to do this in Altru?

We log the volunteer hours for board members like other volunteers. For example, if a board member comes to volunteer to help with a program or stuff envelopes we count them along with other volunteers doing the same task. You could even make special board volunteer types. I don't do the data entry for this but it is on my someday list to set it up for batch entry.
