Media Tab

Has anyone noticed the changes to the Media tab in database view? Apparently, BB applied Patch 27 on 2/8 which changes how documents can be viewed. You now must download them first to your local drive, then open the doc to view. This was expected as part of the integration changes with Microsoft products. But that was to occur on Feb 28th. But the real surprise is these changes not only apply to Microsoft products, but for all document types – including PDF’s. This was confirmed to me by BB customer service today.

This is a complete departure from Blackbaud’s initial position that only Microsoft products would be affected with the integration change in regards the Media tab.

Yes! I have the same frustration. I asked the Facebook group The Raiser's Edge Users Group Support Forum and was directed to the same article. I am not sure why it would affect .pdf files, but I am very frustrated as it was a very useful feature. Please advise if there is a way to vote that they change it back. I can't seem to find where that is. Thank you!

I would definitely like to complain to them about this but I am not sure where to go to do so! This is so frustrating
