Is anyone else baffled and slightly furious that Blackbaud have made these changes to Microsoft Word and not really considered how this will effect our workload and thanking/ receipting and using Mail? The way we thank our supporters was long enough without these new changes being added to the mix. How is everyone else and what are you doing to get around it?

Hi Stacey, we utilize a number of merges for Receipting, Reminders and Acknowledgements but everything seems to be in working order. Could you elaborate on what the changes/issues are since I'd want to make sure we're on top of anything that might be causing problems with them.

I think she's referring to changes Blackbaud made for hosted customers which involves removing Microsoft Office components installed in the hosting environment. It has caused mostly undesirable workflow changes for merging letters.
