Recommendations of alternative donation forms from Marketplace

Hi, we're looking to move away from Online Express forms for donations on our website, and wondered if anyone had recommendations of any other 3rd party form builders from Marketplace, or external payment platform providers you would recommend. Thank you

Hi Rachel, I would advise you interview any alternate providers you consider, to find out what their donor transition policy looks like. One of the difficulties we encountered with PaySimple, before moving to OLX, was that there was no way to maintain recurring gifts if we discontinued their services. Donors' payment information was basically held hostage in their system, and we had to manually reach out to donors to re-acquire their gift info in order to start with a new payment provider. We lost a number of gifts that way.

For one-time cash gifts, this is not such a big deal, but if you plan on growing a sustainer donor program, this is huge. Make sure you keep ownership of your gifts and that if you ever leave the vendor down the road, they will transition those gifts to your next platform.
