Is there a way to have a recurring gift submitted by an OLX gift form charge the credit card on the day of the submission?

I see that the NXT donation form has the “today” option, but that particular form isn't flexible enough for our needs (no gift attributes, etc.)

Hi @Kevin Hardy - There is no direct way to accomplish this, OLX forms do not offer this as an option for Recurring Gifts. That being said, you can add a gift attribute to the form with a yes/no response option that says something along the lines of “do you want your first payment to start today?”. If the donor, answers ‘yes’ to this question, it will be up to your staff adjust the schedule (to include an additional transaction planned for ‘today’) and to process the Recurring Gift manually within DBV first before promoting it to WV to be processed automatically.

This band-aid, is a lot of work for the person processing online gifts at your org and is often missed if a Recurring Gift comes in over the weekend. If you truly want the ability to give the donor the option of starting transactions ‘today’, I recommend you create a Recurring Gift (only) form through NXT's donation form and embed it on your website.
