Tribute Information on NXT Donation Forms

We are currently transitioning to use BB Merchant Services for donation processing, and we are planning on using the Donation Form designer to create our donation forms. Our account rep sent us links to examples of RE NXT donation forms, including the one below that has a section for “Tribute Gift”. However, when I'm in the donation form designer I don't see any tribute options. is this an add-in? How do I get honor/memorial gift information through RE NXT Donation Forms?

At this moment, webview (commonly called RE NXT) doesn't support tribute entry, so I'm guessing that it doesn't exist on the forms too. Happy to be called wrong if I am, but that's what I know.

We don't use the tribute function, we just use attributes/custom fields on the gift to generate a Tribute Letter/Card. I was hopeful that we could capture this information with RE NXT Donation Forms, which is what our current donation form can do. It would be disappointing if this cannot do this.

Hi @Evan Webb - Heather is correct, as Tributes do not currently exist in Web View it is not possible to include them on NXT donation forms. However, it is possible to include tribute information on OLX donation forms - this is accessible through Database View, I recommend you check it out.

Interesting that this was sent to you by Blackbaud!

In a recent Blackbaud webinar - I think another version of the difference in functionality between OLX donation forms and NXT donation forms - it was announced that Tribute functionality is due to be released soon in NXT forms. I am pretty sure they said Q2, so sometime during the April - June 2022 timeframe.

That's more an FYI than anything else, because I don't know that I would wait for it or rely on well it will meet your needs. My recommendation is to go with an OLX form, let the kinks get worked out in the new NXT form, and consider switching to that if needed.

As others have stated NXT Donation forms do not currently offer the Tribute module. We have a link on our donation form that directs donors back to our OLX form if they wish to make a tribute gift. That said, since you are not using the Tribute module, you should be able to capture info via the “Comments” field which you can prompt donors to enter that information as a comment.
