Reporting for Solicitors

I received a request for monthly activity for solicitors. I see lists could provide something for opportunities but I need to include actions and notes. Anyone that can share what your doing that would be great. I did look at the database view but notes don't seem to come out in any of those reports.

Thanks

I use the Opportunities lists to do a monthly report for my team, and have my columns set to include the last action and next action. I had to have the conversation with my team of “this is what I can get you, please work around it” and they have been happy with this report.

If they must have things you can't get, you could export this out to excel, and make an export in database view that give the notes you need, and then use VLookup or similar to blend the two spreadsheets. (I don't have Power Automate, so that may have a better option!)

In the past, I've set up queries linked to Dashboards in database view for tracking Notes and Actions. For Notes, you end up with a list of Notes completed within a certain time period as set in your dynamic Constituent query criteria. Dashboards is much more cumbersome to use than webview Reports, but it does have more flexibilities.

I'll take a look and see if I can find a Report that could be customized for the purpose. Otherwise you can use export/excel. A lot depends on what information you're needing … are you just wanting totals (how many constituents got new notes this quarter, per solicitor) or do you need # of new notes (rather than # of constituents with new notes), or do you want a specific list detailing individual notes?
