Address Finder Errors

We recently had the Address Finder run on our database. Usually we have a couple of hundred constituents who have moved and had their address updated. This time it looks like all of the constituents who have moved ended up in the exception file and were not updated. They have new addresses that were found, but there is this error message:

Unable to process address finder result for ConstituentId: #####. Error code: 50010
Error message: The address type 'Previous' is inactive. Please select a different address type.

Has anyone encountered this? In most records I've looked at the old address remains and is active and marked preferred. So why did it not update?

    The error message implies that the address type of “previous” has been inactivated in your code table in configuration. Have you checked there to verify? If that isn't the case, I would recommend reaching out to Blackbaud support.
