We also changed to using our BB ID to login to BBMS (as opposed to the “classic view”). We are no longer able to access Virtual Terminal or the Account Management tabs. You can only see those in “classic view”. This is a huge problem. I contacted support using a chat and all I received was a link to a KB article telling me what went away….which doesn't solve the problem of how to get to those features. Two seconds letter, I received a “case closed” email! Huh? Not so nice support,,,

Hi Madeleine,

Im so very sorry to hear of your experience and wanted to respond with some good news. Both Account Management and the Virtual Terminal are available in the Next Gen portal, let me show you and also thank you for switching over to the Nxt Gen portal with BBID.

For the Account Management data that was held in the classic portal, this is all now located under > Control Panel > Settings functional area. Where you can change your settings and account management data. The Mobile Pay and Terminal options/ordering were taken out of this location and placed on the main navigation bar for ease of finding and navigation.

For the Virtual Terminal, we have shared in this week’s PUB sessions that we will bring the Virtual Terminal back to the main navigation bar for ease of finding and navigating. However, for now if you navigate to > Transactions > Select Create Transaction button > The virtual terminal is surfaced. Image below.

I’m hoping you find this information helpful and goes some way to correct the experience you received.

Thanks. I can navigate to the Virtual Terminal as you explained. However, when I use Control Panel-→Settings, I only see Contact Details, Disbursement Information, Notifications, Email Acknowledgement and PayPal commerce platform. I do not see Account Configurations which is a separate tile in classic view (I'm looking at it right now). Where is that hiding?

Awesome that you can see mostly everything that you were looking for Madeleine!

Regarding the Account Configuration - the tile under the current settings location is not available today, but is code complete and expected to ship in our next Payment release on the 27th May.

In the meantime, we still have access to the Account Configuration via the classic portal OR, if you are your organisations admin for BBMS, you will have an ‘admin’ option within your selection menu. Image below.

Within the Admin console you can navigate to >Settings > Merchant Accounts and you will be presented with your Account Configuration options for your BBMS accounts. Image below.
