Enforce Blackbaud ID authentication

After you click the “Enforce Blackbaud ID authentication” button under Security > Blackbaud ID authentication, are you then asked if you would like to send invitations? Wondering what happens after you click that button ?

  • Excellent question - following!

Hey Liz - no, clicking that button does not prompt to send invitations, nor does it actually send any invitations.

If the “enforce authentication” button is disabled, any user who is registered to BBID will still use BBID to log in (so, if you went to the Unregistered tab and connected, all of those users would use BBID). However, any user who is not registered to BBID can still log in using their previous login credentials.

If the “enforce authentication” button is enabled, all users will need to use BBID to log in, and you must register all users to BBID because their previous login credentials will not work.

    Hopefully this makes sense!

  • Great, thank you for clarifying =)
