Query on pledge balances for a specific date range in the past

Hello, I hope someone can help me with this issue.

I am trying to run a query to get pledge balances as of our fiscal year end of June 30, 2022. I tried to run a constituent query and filter on summary for gifts then pledge balance but it keeps giving me the current pledge balance. I then ran a pledge status report and marked the box to create a constituent query. From that query, I tried the same thing and I still get the current pledge balance although when the report prints, it gives me the correct balance at June 30th. What am I doing wrong? Can someone offer some advice?

@Tanya Mahoney Unless things have changed, it is not possible to run a report of pledge balances for a date in the past.

At previous org we would run every report needed on the last day of FY. The first year we encountered this we just had to do manual adjustments to data to back out payments received in the new FY.
Maybe it's changed but I haven't heard that it has.

@Tanya Mahoney, you should be able to run a pledge balance for a previous date, as long as you use the RE database view "Reports" tab. My previous DD always thought they had to run reports on the last day of the fiscal year, but you can run it on any day for the past fiscal year. (Makes audit life so much easier!)

Use a Gift Detail and Summary Report. Not all Reports have the same options. Link your constituent query to the report.

Set up your Gift Types tab to include a “Pledge” column, with the following settings. The last two boxes are the key settings you need.
