Imbedding or linking media files

We are presently with RE7 and have all our media files linked to another drive instead of embedding the files. We will be converting over to NXT, I'm hearing that you can't link media in NXT, that it has to be embedded, is this correct?

The choice is either to drag an actual file or link a url:

Not sure if something like dropbox would work as an external link?

Maybe someone else has a better answer but it looks like the you're limited to embedding a document or linking to a URL.

@roger berg - gave you the choices. We did use the link for our media files with RE7, but we attach the documents to the constituent record in NXT.

I only use the URL for obituaries or other website articles associated with the constituent.
