New Accommodation Tile?

I am curious - what is the purpose of the new accommodation tile that was added with the 3 questions about having an IEP, being an English Language Learner, and having a free or discounted lunch? I tried turning some of those questions on, and nothing changes on the student record. For example, if there is an IEP, there is no designation on the student record - you still have to go the learning profile area to add a learning profile to have the blue LP appear. I also opened up the student lists, and there are no columns for those questions that were added. Is there more that is forthcoming on that tile? I would think that if there is the question about the IEP on that tile that we would be able to upload a supporting document for it or something like that. I don't see the purpose of this area unless I am completely missing something or it hasn't been built out yet?

  • @Chris Felinski Same here Chris. We already had a field to mark if the “Candidate has IEP” under the General section on the RECORD tab. Why two fields for the same thing? Is one going away?

    @Chris Felinski @Sandra Ross
    These accommodations fields were added to fulfill specific needs for integration with Clever. Although we don't have current plans to expand them, we would love to learn how schools use them and possible ways increase the usefulness of the accommodations tile for the future.

    Thank you for letting us know. Is the integration with Clever live or is it still in development? We have been looking for that integration. In terms of expanding - having that accommodation tile there is going to throw off some of our members in student services. It would make a lot of sense for there to be a spot where if “Yes” is selected for an IEP that right there the accommodations file could be downloaded. We have found that the Learning Plan module doesn't have the flexibility we need, so we have our own PDF that we upload for the IEP in Files section for the student. If this field is now there, it would make sense to have information on the Accommodations available in that spot, not just a yes/no field.
