RE NXT - Reports

I have been trying to run a report on RE NXT for cumulative giving for a specific date range. No matter what I try I can not seem to get my totals to match what I have been getting from reports on the database side… Is there a way to edit what gift types are included in reports on the NXT side? How am I supposed to know what is being included in the totals on the NXT side??

I am very new to the NXT side of RE, and typically only rely on the database side for everything. I am open to any help or suggestions--thank you!!

@Tess Hirschkorn, I can tell you that webview cannot always be made to reliably match database reports with 100% accuracy. While it has improved with time and is mostly accurate, it does not yet provide the same level of flexibility in settings. As you can see from the KB article, My reports in the Database View and Web View don't match, the solution they advise is to change your database view settings to match the more limited webview filters. If you do not want to run your reports by these more limited filters, then you are SOL.

That is why I advise continuing to run your financial and audit reports in database view. The Fundraising Reports in webview are really nice for development directors and supervisors who want an instant, mostly-accurate report of appeal performances, solicitor success rates, and real-time lapsing segments.

To answer your question, however: yes, you can configure your gift settings by going to webview, Control Panel, Settings, Giving Analysis.

Agree! I have been trying to figure out why in DB view that we've utilized all of these years for our donors and their cumulative totals now do not match, nor can you see the full value amount of their recognition in WV since it rounds up and does not show the complete total down to cents on their Lifetime Giving section. I've gotten better about remembering to add in their matches if applicable. One major donor I've been working on today is $2000 less in difference when I set up a query to run in WV based on cumulative w/SCs and same gift types as what is coming out of DB view. #frustrating.
